Hello and come on in!

We are your friendly neighborhood bookstore, located at 65 James Street, Worcester, Massachusetts in the northeastern United States.

Much of our stock is used books, obtained from customers just like YOU... folks who love books but sometimes crave a new-to-them reading experience.

We accept many varieties of books in trade for store credit, as long as they are in good condition.  We do not accept hardcover books in trade as a rule, although there are exceptions.  We cannot accept textbooks in trade at present, regrettably.

We can and do accept paperback fiction of all kinds, as well as children's books for all reading levels.  We will accept hardcover picture books, again in good condition and with all working parts included if they are of the interactive variety.

Our used books are priced at 45% off cover at the very least, with some titles at an even deeper discount if obtained as publisher remainders.  You will always get your money's worth at Annie's.

We do carry new books as well, and are happy to place special orders for new books that you do not find on our shelves.  A deposit is required for special order titles, and you will receive a 20% discount off cover price.

Our telephone number is 508-796-5613.  We can be reached by e-mail at anniesbookstopworcester [at] gmail [dot] com.

Our hours are the following:

MONDAY 10AM TO 7PM
TUESDAY 10AM TO 7 PM
WEDNESDAY 10AM TO 7PM
THURSDAY 10AM TO 7PM
FRIDAY 10AM TO 7PM
SATURDAY 10AM TO 5PM
SUNDAY 12NOON TO 5PM

New entries will appear on this blog every Tuesday and Thursday, with occasional special posts at varying times.  This entry will stay at the top of our blog and will be updated periodically.

Thanks for supporting your local independent bookstore!

Please join us on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH between 1PM and 3PM as we welcome Michael Bisceglia, author of ROOM 600.  He will be giving a short talk and signing copies of his book.

From the author's webpage...

"This fascinating novel explores a world rarely revealed: a public school classroom for middle-school students with diverse disabilities ranging from blindness to severe retardation. Lou, their caring teacher, goes the extra mile for "his kids," and in doing so helps the rest of the school learn that every student deserves respect and a chance to learn. Meanwhile, Lou's personal life takes a strange turn when he begins an unconventional affair with a fellow teacher. Beautifully written, uproariously funny and extremely moving.

Michael E. Bisceglia, Jr. is an educator with over 25 years of experience in the fields of teaching and administration, six of which were spent teaching students with diverse disabilities. Active in communications and public relations, Mr. Bisceglia is the author of numerous books and articles. Among his many degrees are a bachelor's in English from McPherson College, a master's in Urban Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a certificate of training from the University of Notre Dame. He currently resides in New Hampshire."

We look forward to seeing you here at Annie's!
